Ferulic acid

Ferulic acid is a powerful antioxidant found in various plant-based foods. Here are some of the food sources with the highest content of ferulic acid:

Cereal Grains: Bran from grains like wheat, rice, corn, and oats is especially high in ferulic acid. Whole grains also contain significant amounts, with wheat having one of the highest concentrations.

Vegetables: Spinach and other leafy greens contain notable amounts of ferulic acid. Tomatoes and corn also have moderate levels.

Fruits: Oranges, pineapples, and grapefruits are good sources, particularly in the peel. Apples contain ferulic acid, mainly in the skin.

Seeds and Nuts: Flaxseeds and sesame seeds are rich in ferulic acid.

Coffee: Coffee is a significant dietary source due to the ferulic acid content in coffee beans.
